I am thrilled to be a part of the Texas Hospital Association and HealthShare. This organization has an incredible group of people working for it, and an impressive roster of members from across the state and the industry. I’m looking forward to supporting new direction and changes at THA, our parent organization. I believe we can greatly increase the contributions HealthShare makes to THA -- both the financial support and the innovative programs it provides. These programs can help improve the operations and quality of care at THA member hospitals, and the revenue that is generated can support the mission, goals and objectives of your association.
I believe that, while a HealthShare endorsement is meaningful and represents an important process of due diligence, most of you do not purchase services strictly because of our endorsement. You look for services that meet a specific need or solve a particular problem. My priorities as CEO will include finding programs that meet your needs and solve your problems, and making it easy for you to access them. Naturally, HealthShare cannot succeed at this unless we also provide value to our endorsed companies, so that will be a priority as well.
I look forward to hearing from you about your needs and how we at HealthShare can best meet them. I also look forward to working with Texas hospitals to create the highest level of care for your patients and the greatest level of success for your institution.
Jim Dixon
President/CEO

Staying Connected NEW!
HealthShare/THA is pleased to announce its endorsement of TANDBERG, a leading global provider of high-definition videoconferencing and mobile video products and services. Another project provides immediate specialty care to children in communities with no access to pediatric emergency or critical care physicians. The firm has also used videoconferencing technology for telemedicine, providing health care and education services statewide from a single location. Collect More
TransUnion helps hospitals improve cash flow and properly classify accounts with fully-integrated, flexible programs such as Healthcare Revenue Cycle Platform. This browser-based software is powered by a business rules engine and work flow tool. It verifies patient identification, financial information and insurance eligibility; qualifies patients for financial assistance or charity programs or determines their ability to pay; and helps hospitals collect more by determining appropriate payment plans, collecting balances up front, and prioritizing those accounts most likely to pay. This allows you to focus staff resources more efficiently. For more information, or a free proof of concept, contact Tammie Jackson at 218/610-0802 or tljacks@transunion.com.
Revenue Cycle
TransCend Healthcare offers professional revenue cycle services combining best practices and state-of-the-art technology to help you improve cash flow, decrease accounts receivable, and reduce bad debt. The firm can immediately mobilize a cash acceleration program using proven third-party and self-pay recovery techniques, targeting processes that affect reimbursement and optimize cash collections. Company personnel have years of experience in insurance and self-pay receivables, and its information services and operations departments use sophisticated procedures to process claims in the most efficient manner possible.
